2 years old, spinal meningitis took away most of my hearing with the loud ringing that my parents couldn't understand. While habituated, there will be a faint ringing when something turns off which drives me nuts. Had a bad spike from a faulty soundboard a year ago which didn't lower the volume in one ear when a high pitch track was played.

I was only 7. It was caused by earwax buildup and the doctors took care of it. The sound was still there but barely noticeable so I was able to ignore it for the next few years. I'm 14 now and a few weeks ago the sound either got louder again or I suddenly paid close attention to it. Since then I became obsessed with it and constantly monitoring it. It's super high pitched. I can't hear it unless I'm in a quiet room but once I pay attention to it it gets bad and annoying. I'm also a super anxious person so this makes it worse. :(

27 and my life has been gone since then.
