So...
At my two first and last audiograms, they said I had a mild hearing loss. I went to the ENT and he said that he didn't consider my hearing loss like it since it was very mild and set another audiogram one year later. He didn't care about my tinnitus, didn't listen to me when I said that between the first and second audiogram, my hearing had been lower/worse. I felt humiliated.

I know that hearing aids can help and I've found some clinic at Québec that propose this, but I don't think mine would propose it and even if they would, the ENT would have to approve.

My mother don't seem to care about my tinnitus. She's always saying that I should stop milk and try a beauty mask for stopping them. Since I'm on their assurances, I can't change without her knowing it.

I don't know how to ask my audiologist about the hearing aids. It getting worse. Now, I cannot stand the dishes noises anymore, the pain still here, I hear them almost always. One time two grill things (the thing for cooking..) clang together and I went deaf for some seconds.

You have how much hearing loss and on which frequencies?

The last time, in january, I was at -25/-30 at my right ear and my left ear was between -15 and +5 depending of the frequencies. The ENT refuse to do another audiogram even if one month had passed and even if I said I had the feeling it had getting worse.

I have 25db on left ear and 15 on right ear. Looks about the same as me. I am doing one next month. I did mine in October 2017 (no hearing loss dip on 5db on 4khz and 3khz), January 2018 (hearing dip on 10db on 3hz and 4khz), February (25db on 4khz), April (20db on 4khz), so its time for another one :O

Yes but mine is set to january :/ I'm a little desesparate here

The ENT setted it in january and I have to wait until there :/

Oh God! I am going to do DPOAE next month. I will post my results up.

DPOAE? What is it?

It's a test that tests your outer cochlea cells, it never gave me a spike or anything, totally safe. I did it when I had mild t and then now when I have severe t.

Oh interesting!

Dont ever let ENT preform ear tests on you or you will loose more hearing. I had a ear test called VEMP where they put electrodes on my face and exerted a sound of 110db for 2 minutes. It caused me to loose 20db of my hearing. My Audilogist told me that a drop on 4khz is caused by stress/anxiety.

Isn't there a "private route" (or via the internet) where no approval would be required? (yes, I realize it would probably mean more "out of pocket" costs, but sometimes you have to pay to work around a system - ask me how I know).

I see! Thank for the tip!!

I'll see but since I'm a student and already stressed with the little money I have, I don't know if I'll can :(

There definition of mild hearing loss means music could sound like garbage and background noise could mush together but as long as you can hear your boss's voice telling you "TO GET BACK TO WORK!" they will tell you your hearing loss is clinically insignificant.

Quebec Province has some pretty direct requirements for students to get hearing aids. If your hearing loss causes you to have difficulty in school, that certainly qualifies you but an audiologist or ENT must provide the documentation. Perhaps your school can assist you. See page 7 in this document for Quebec Province. http://www.chha.ca/documents/Hearing_Aid_Subsidies_Across_Canada.pdf
