Hey everyone,
I am Roman, 31 years old. About three months ago, I suddenly developed tinnitus. It seemed to come out of nowhere after a day of listening to quite a lot of music (thanks, Spotify Wrapped) and following a few weeks on benzodiazepines after the loss of a close friend.
I will not sugarcoat it. This has been an absolute nightmare. My tinnitus is moderate, with several high-pitched tones, and the shower is now the only place I can find any peace. I have been staying at home, hoping for some kind of recovery, but honestly, I am struggling to picture what life might look like, as there has not been any real improvement so far.
I am also worried about the lack of promising treatments. Options like Lenire or medications feel like risky gambles, and I am holding on to a small bit of hope for the Susan Shore device. However, I do not know when it might be available or if I will even be in a good enough place to try it when it is.
Any encouragement or advice would mean a lot.
Thank you,
Yelsin
