hi, last week I had a hearing test that said my hearing was fine and my audiologist said that my tinnitus could be interfering with my hearing that's it. Can tinnitus really interfere with my hearing? I am having a hard time trusting my doctors.

It seems logical that T would interfere with hearing. It's a signal that gets mixed with the "real" signal coming into your ear, so just like any kind of interference, it adds "noise" to the "signal".
It's a bit like adding insult to injury: the T pitch often matches the pitch of hearing loss, so not only do you not hear well around that frequency, but the little you hear gets clobbered by a rogue noise.
