Are you seute no reason, did you sleep well, did you wake up in the night or in the morning, were you under stress or suden wheather change, did you eat anything that has monosodium glucomate E621 taste enhancer (all restorants use it specily asian, all thouse buljong soup spice with taste of fish, chicken etc, susages) or maybe you are a bit too much salt day before

Over 6 months! Last two days symptoms are worsening, Hearing loss more severe, mild hypercusis back and dizziness! T is loud?
Can't figure out why? I should be improving.

I have same effect, constant lost of hearing on left ear... and now i dont hear at all high freq that i heard 1,5y ago. MY T went up 28 times in last 3 years, first time was 5 months after initial start of t

Been having mild T for tears. Have gotten used to that. Been 3 weeks since episode with SSHL and loud T. High pitch. I manage to ignore most of the time. Maybe because I've dealt with a mild version for so long.

For me the constant noise helps me sleep at night. It's just annoying when listening to music or trying to get in on a conversation.

Keep your mind busy and do your best to ignore it. Sometime I don't even hear it even though I know it's there. Hard to do, but just be patient. You can survive this. Find strength in knowing we all have it to some degree and feel your pain.

Weird, it's been 6 months I expected to get better and I was slowly improving (I think) then suddenly my hearing became more muffled and my Tinnitus increased and I noted again hypercusis ( it was gone for 3 months) last 3 days feel like my first 6 weeks!
Can't figure why?

I think I have Ménière's disease, although my hearing loss is more in the high frequencies, I have intermittent episodes of aural fullness, decreases in already poor hearing and dizziness accompanied by loud T. I was assuming these were T spikes but I am not sure. The dizziness is mild not vertigo
Today I feel slightly better, but had 4 bad days!

Monday and Tuesday were great days!
This morning T is loud and hearing is down
Can't figure out why?!
Got at at 5 am my earbuds maskers on!
Thank God I don't have the aural fullness or hypercusis!
Very frustrating!

@Dominic1955 you sound very similar to me. I cope with the tinnitus being loud and intrusive a lot of the time, but the aural fullness gets me. Luckily I only feel off balance, not dizzy. I don't have mèniers. Mine was SSHL by a TIA.

Be thankful you do have good days...
...but I do agree it's frustrating to not have this condition "under control", or at least have enough of understanding of it to not seem surprised by its seemingly random behaviors.

@slipware, unbelievable that u have suffered since 2012, I am sorry
I have 2 patients with SSHL they also had severe vertigo and T their vertigo lasted 3 weeks then in dizziness was on and off for one year! But both habituated to the tinnitus, it does not seem to bother them.
I have moderate to severe hearing loss, I did not get severe vertigo but I have dizziness and when my T increases my hearing gets worse and aural fullness appears ....... on and off since April 2/16

I noted for last few days that my hypercusis is back, it was gone for months ? I also noted decrease hearing and louder t, no vertigo or dizziness.
Using sound machine with rain crickets frogs and whale songs
Worked all day and feel tired .......
