I Did Something Incredibly Stupid

@RaZaH
Don't blame yourself. Everyone would have done that.
People say one should live his/her hobbies and do as much as you can as you would have no T.
I also went to a football stadium with 80,000 people and it was permanent >100 db. How stupid?
Luckily, my T did not react to this since my T is not noise-induced, but more stress/psychological.
I am sure your T will calm down again. Great music by the way.
DON'T GIVE UP.

Btw, my T also cycles these days between catastrophic and could live with it.
How do we know if our T is noise induced or not?

What about SSHL (sensorneural sudden hearing loss) though I not sure if mine is sensorneural

SSHL is the malady, whereas acoustic trauma is one cause of many. So an acoustic trauma can cause SSHL.

If you want to figure out why you have T, you have to answer yourself the questions: how and when and what and where.

I did some work with a powertool around the house, and my T spiked. Hopefully not permanently, but I know how you feel. I was using earplugs during most of it, except for a few minutes.

How do we know if our T is noise induced or not?

I don't think it is as cut-and-dried as "noise induced or not"--for example, mine started after an ear infection, but I have longer-term noise-induced hearing loss from years of not protecting my ears. The fact that it only really hit my left ear instead of both leads me to believe that the ear infection that was more infected on my left side + the long-term noise-induced hearing loss = tinnitus on the left side.

@SoulStation
True mate , I was just trying to resume my life .
Which is just human I guess.
Too bad the result was so horrible.
I will get over this , I am sure :)
Thanks everyone for the support.

@RaZaH

Fantastic music! Wow! really talented! some more please? Could you create the RaZaH thread with some more of your music special for us please?
Maybe others can put some of their music or film clips or poetry or photos of their art eg like sculptures or paintings or clothes made or anything that they have created?
The creative thread for the creative people on here for us all to enjoy.
Would be great and so constructive and show that there is life after T.....even though you may alter your life RaZaH I really hope you continue to write music and perform somehow cos talent like yours should not ever be wasted or stopped. I am sure that you will settle down again......so looking forward to hearing more of yours......

Great electronic music indeed. RaZaH you are definitely a talent. Don't worry, spikes will most certainly go back to baseline. Give it time. God bless.

So nice to hear you are a lot better. Ya, spikes often settle down. It should get better and better. Take care bro.

RaZah, I did something stupid last Thurs too. Though mine was not music related, I feel like it was so stupid of me as I've been coping so well for over a year. I helped a mate referee a couple of games of dodgeball (of all things) and I didn't think much of using a whistle as I've used it before with tinnitus without consequences. This time I used a different whistle and let's just say, I'll always remember what a Fox 40 is! I'm in so much regret and anguish of this new level of T it's almost unbearable.

May I ask if your T has improved since that day you mentioned?..
