I'm leaving for 5 days tomorrow to see my family. Have to through flight though and it'll be my first flight since I've gotten T. Really scared. Any tips?

Don't worry, it won't make it worse, last thursday I went on a flight and it didn't help my tinnitus but it didn't make it worse.

I've been on a bunch of flights since. The airplane is not so noisy itself, i thought it's around the airport and on the dock that it's a bit noisy but only lasts for a few minutes.

All this changed absolutely nothing about my tinnitus

I went on a coast to coast flight after being diagnosed and was scared too. But fortunately for me the popping of my ears during the flight stopped the T along with the fact that I had stopped taking the diuretic medication that had created the onset to begin with and I was also taking powerful calcium pills which is supposed to help too.

50-50, but I wouldn't be too afraid. Chew gum, it helps.
lol if it was 50/50 most people would be completely deaf by now.

If you wear earplugs or muffs, there's no reason to expect that flying will affect your tinnitus. I've flown dozens and dozens of times with tinnitus, it's never had any impact.

If you typically have problems getting your ears to clear, taking pseudoephedrine before the flight and chewing gum on the descent, as others have said, is helpful.
