I Hope This Will Help Those Going Through the Panic Stage

Bass player, thank you.
The T has brought so many other symptoms. The AD has brought bruxism and painful, uncomfortable dry mouth.
Black thoughts today, don't want go on in this way.
I'll reread your words to try to keep going. THANK YOU.

For many years I wanted to give hope to those going through each stage. I remember how low I felt at the start. If it juat helps a few people it will be worth it.

This would have definitely been helpful for me if I had read it during my first couple of years with T. Therefore, I do believe that it will accomplish what you hope it will. That is, to give hope, especially to those in the early stages, when discouragement and despair are common to those new to the suffering that can come from this affliction. As you know, hope helps people to cope, hang on and endure during difficult and prolonged trials.

I appreciate your effort and motive to help others. Good work!

Thank you, nothing like being honest and true. T sufferers are very kind ppl , always trying to help others. Reading this already make me feel good. God blessings!

Thank you! I've had t two months & I must say the stages are exactly the same, anxiety & panic & obsession, my anxiety is decreasing, not my obsession tho! But I'm leading a normal lift & this post enforces my determination to "forget" about the t, the bastard won't beat me lol!! Can't wait to get your stage & I know I will, postitivity is key even if u don't feel positive we have to keep affirming that we will be ok! Our mind feeds off our thoughts & if we keep positive we will beat this!!!

2 months for me as well, but also coping with bad sinusitis. Like the article says get positivity from anywhere you can. We will all learn to cope in the end.

Good luck to us all!

Peace and love.

I do not want to cope, i want my slience back ;-(

This is why I don't like the word habituate (to put up with). I no longer need to 'cope'. Most people eventually reach a point where they bo longer hear the T unless they search for it. Some achieve this with no external help.

The brain seems to have the capability to rewire itself over time if we let it and stay positive. It does take time and will power though I'm afraid.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! It was super encouraging to me. :)

I got T from feedback through a Bluetooth headset so my T is always a variation of ugly sounds. At times it feels like it's melting my brain. I love reading positive, helpful stories like yours. Refreshing hope! Thank you for taking the time to write it all out and share it. Blessings!

its really great to hear about a musician continuing to play with their band. i went to my first show since i noticed my T yesterday (with musicians earplugs) and everything was great and I had a good and comfortable time. I can't wait to start playing with my band again. Do you have any links to your music?

I think a lot of it for me was being very insistent that the T shouldn't stop me doing the things I love doing. Why let it beat us into submission? For that matter why should we let it drag those around us down long term?

I'm glad you're not giving into it but you are right to take some precautions.

I play in a pub/club/function 3 piece covers band so we don't write any original stuff. I did try writing some meditational music which you can stream for free on my Soundcloud link.

I won't download since fortunately I moved past the suffering. Nonetheless, I applaud your efforts to help those in need.

Good luck and congratulations!
