I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

I wonder if anyone's tinnitus on this green earth sounds as awful as Tinnitus Mix. It's a harsh sound!
Well think of it this way, shot in the arm hurts, medications taste honorably, so goes the remedy for tinnitus, it does not sound good at first. That's what it takes to knock out tinnitus. If symphony music knocked out tinnitus nobody would be here!

Has anyone tried earbuds instead of Koss headphones listening to your Tinnitus Mix? It seems hard to keep the headphones on when you are a side sleeper.
I don't recommend earbuds, you can put a sock hat over headphones to keep them in place or get SleepPhones and put the Koss earpieces in them.

Weirdly, almost all sound therapy stuff uses headphones or earbuds.

Neuromonics, the Levo System, and even bimodal stimulation with Lenire.
Yea, it's some types of music and voice frequencies that I would be careful with headphones, and many who used the voice communicator type headphones like the workers at McDonalds get hearing loss from them.

@JohnAdams have you experienced any worsening/spike?
No, but last night, night 3, I only made it three hours because my neck/head was hurting and I had to take the headphones off to sleep on my side. It was from the pillow I was using and I was sleeping on my couch. I don't know if it's helping yet but it's definitely not hurting.

That is a good sign, you can cut a hole in a foam pillow and the earpiece will fit in the hole and you won't feel the headphones digging into your ear.

OKAY WEIRD!!!!!

Now I am sitting in my office. My normal tinnitus is gone and has turned into an extremely low volume hum at around 660 Hz mostly in my right ear. This has never happened before. FYI 660 Hz is a very low frequency. I can also just barely hear it. This is actually quite amusing. Coincidences happen but funny this is happening now of all times.

I KNOW THAT. Besides I sleep on my back when listening to it.

Hey sweetheart, how often do you listen to this 555 demon screetch?

LMAO!!!!!

People, there are 2 options:

1. R. David Case is a liar and has fabricated all of his testimonials.

or

2. This actually does work for many people.

Also, he is making $0 from this, so there is no motive, there is no follow-up book or consulting.

I'd say if sleep patterns affect your tinnitus, then you are a great candidate for this therapy.

I am now giving this my preliminary seal of approval, it is at least safe. Correlation does not imply causation but there is a correlation for me here, just after 3 nights.

Funny you should mention that. Last night I discovered on my own that wearing a cap over the headphones really helped. After putting on the cap I slept and listened most of the night with the headphones staying in place, even when I would roll over. Now I'm hopeful that I can do the program! BTW I'm kind of surprised that you recommend SleepPhones because there's fleece cloth between the speaker and ear.

I appreciate all the help!

I tried this for 30 minutes at my desk. It feels like your tinnitus itself is getting a massage. The tone definitely changed in that short amount of time. I'll have to give this a real shot.

I think the sleep part is the key here as well as high fidelity headphones.

Well hot DAMN today has been another big improvement. I almost feel like writing a success story.

LMAOOOOOOO!!!!!!

If this works then I think I know exactly how and that means R. David Case is an accidental genius of the ages.

I just hope the Libyan nationalists don't get to him first.

Stupid question (sorry!)... on an iOS device, how do I download this 7 times for a continuous night? The file opens and plays, no way to save it that I know of on iOS... or should I get a simple MP3 player that will accept .wav files?

Woke up today without ringing at all but had a random morse code in my right ear that stopped after a 20-30 minutes. No tinnitus pretty much since then lol, feels kind of weird to be honest.

Going to keep listening to it daily for the next 3 weeks and then cut down to 2-3 times per week as instructed.

Will report back after some days or if anything new occurs.

Until then I suggest more people giving this thing a try.

If you're going to do this therapy, do it right and keep us posted. Don't do it too loud either. I expect all of you trying this now to follow through and tell us what happened. Also you might as well leave a brief description of your tinnitus cause, sound, whether it is somatic or not, just whatever. It is for the greater good.

Hello Mr. David Case,
I have pretty bad hearing... like a ski slope bottoming out at 70 decibels at 8000, starting the tabernacle at day 2000.

Anyhoo, my question is, have people who qualify for or use hearing aids benefited from your invention?

Thanks, in advance... Daniel

I'll ask you again john, as well as @Michael Leigh and @Bill Bauer. If this works, doesn't that dispel the notion that headphones are bad for tinnitus users? Second does this imply that we can maybe benefit using headphones, at a reasonable volume, to listen to soothing music (or maybe it has to be Tinnitus Mix) during the daytime?

I don't know why anyone would waste their time on the Lenire thread when the real action's over here.
We need more people testing Tinnitus Mix diligently for the suggested three weeks.

WHO'S IN! I'm not sure I can withstand the noise but I should try.

My entire argument is that it is easy for loud volumes to accidentally occur. Of course it is not dangerous in theory to listen to headphones on low volumes, but so many videos, and audio on the internet and even some music tracks are mixed way too dynamically, worst offender, Vines, where they max the preamp out in the video editor and the sound goes crazy loud in the punchline or whatever. Also, computers, which include iOS phones and Androids, use sound drivers and if you have ever heard sound drivers crash and shriek at 100% volume you would be weary. Yes using Tinnitus Mix is a risk, but it is a good one. Better than playing games or watching garbage on the internet.
