Hey friends,

Looking for some feed back on vaping or any other alternatives for quitting smoking. Aside from T I have anxiety and now my GERD has amped up and is out of control. After 25 years of smoking its time to quit, I just have too. I am currently tapering off of ativan so I don't need the added stress of cold turkeying off of cigarettes.

Does anyone here vape? Has it affected your T in a negative way? I'm willing to try anything to quit, Ive had enough of this crap.

I've been been vaping for years, it doesn't affect my T

Jake, I am so sorry. I will continue to pray. I thought the operation was a success..............again, I am sorry brother.

Jake: How are you doing?
Horrible, my hearing is horrible and so is my t

It should've been a success, my ear is still trying to hear at 30 to 40db, but I'm only hearing at 50 to 60db. Something is definitely wrong. Thanks for your prayers buddy.

I started vaping awhile ago but had to quit because it seems it makes my t go nuts after awhile, real shame though because it really helped me to give up smoking . And apparently I am not alone with this issue, if you google around abit there seem to be alot of people with the same problem, and apparently propylene glycol, the main ingrediënt in e-liquids is ototoxic when applied topically, and maybe also in the form of aerosol through the eustachian tube ?

I asked many experts and ENT's and noone can give an answer, there is simply not enough known about the risks of vaping.

I tried switching to high VG liquids but it is not the same, I am trying to quit cold Turkey right now (with the use of some nicorette tablets :p)

@Bart,
I did read that vaping can cause ear damage for some people so not sure how safe it is.
If you want to stop smoking the best advice is to do it with your doctors support as can really help you.
love glynis

@Bart
I saw your other thread and commented but here i have to be honest and tell you i vape nicotine.
I have not broken the cycle but i also no longer light up cigarettes either.
Smoking is a filthy and unhealthy thing that leads to a horrible death.
Vaping has proved to be a very good way to avoid cigatettes for me and has not impacted my T in any way.
There are millions vaping now instead of smoking and if you want to quit CT then take Glyniss' advice and do it right with the assistance of your doctor.
Best of luck.

Well, I started vaping for 3 months and it was very easy to not smoke regular cigarettes using the vaper , I loved vaping, nice taste and much better than smoking indeed.

The problem is that after those 3 months my tinnitus suddenly spiked very badly , i'm not even sure how related it is to vaping but there seems to be a correlation as I am not the only one, maybe it affects some people differently ?

The problem is that in my mind I have now linked vaping with increased tinnitus, so every time I try it my tinnitus immediatly seems to spike.

What liquids and what ratio PG/VG are you vaping ?

I have no association between vaping and my T
