Cause of Tinnitus
Not 100% sure
My neighbors just used a drill upstairs. I put my fingers in my ear as quick as I could. Now my left ear feels full. I don't know if it's ringing louder. But I can't cope anymore.

I'm supposed to go for an MRI later today but I'm going to call the hospital and cancel it I have decided after this. I really can't cope anymore.

I am so nervous about it. I have macks slim fit soft foam ear plugs 29DB do you think they will be ok with the ear muffs they give me as well?

I had an mri done post-T. It did not impact my T but I did complain about the loudness as I have H too and the model of mri was louder than ones I have been in before.

@Charbee,
I would go for your MRI and put your plugs in under your head set.
Please let us know how you get on.
Love glynis

Hello, I didn't go for my mri. I was very anxious anyway and then my neighbour was very nasty to me and I just couldn't deal with it that day. I did phone and cancel and told them what had happened. I've gone to stay with a friend to stay away from them while I try and get moved. Thanks for all of your support again.

You were right !

If you thought you were not ready to deal with it, you did well to cancel it ! ;)

I really hope you could get away ASAP from these bullshit neighbours !

Take care !

It's unfortunate how you feel. Tinnitus is a difficult matter and surprises and spikes are horrible. All of us get these and it is never easy. What is done, is done, try to move forward (yes, it's not always easy). I have been in these situations, thousands of times myself.

My main issue is the hearing loss and not so much the tinnitus. I have stepped on balloons before, dropped dishes, did stuff that were loud, by accident. Things happen, and we try our best to protect our ears, it doesn't work 100%. Moving forward and not RE-living the events helps, being stuck and dwelling on it just causes anger and frustrations (at least for me it does)

Good luck, on your MRI and be well :)

And thanks @fishbone that is good advice. I slammed the toilet lid by accident about a month ago it panics me for a few days then wears off when stuff like this happens.
