As has been pointed out to you, nearly everyone DOES move on to a 'normal' happy life without a 'magic pill'. The majority don't even seek formal medical or psychological attention
It really scares me when you say that. What if someone, set out to help people with T and H, read that statement and think:" Ahh, really seems like people eventually cope!"
Then they decide to try and help someone else?

I´m really suffering, and I do not want my chance of getting help gets diminished by statements like this.

I´m not even sure if your statement is true, thus makes it even more frightening!

I´m happy for you though! But you just had to unwind! I need new ears!

So are you successful in using their weekness to satisfy your ego then? Your ego is everywhere on this forum.

Ego is the final hurdle.
>"Stop saying things I don't like you're scaring the new people!"
> *points out that a lot of new people actually agree with me*
>"What? You're using people's weakness to feed your ego"?

See how that doesn't logically follow. I can't score if you keep moving the goalpost :v

Again that's the problem with not meeting people face to face (I do do that BTW) . I suffered and have come back to help ( still not sure if it was wise :—/ )

Can everyone see now why most 'normal' people who have moved on don't bother coming back?

You complaining that I'm "Scaring newbies" when in reality, a lot of them agree with me.
A lot of newbies are in a bad place. They agree with you because they are in that bad place, anxiety is high and they feel nothing can be done. They have had little to no real help and they are angry.

It is potentially damaging to hear these things and see a reinforcement of doom. I personally attribute a lot of my problems with tinnitus to not being given the right information and being allowed, even encouraged, to look on the bleak side in the early days. I obsessed over the worst scenarios and kept plugging my ears to hear the tinnitus.

Taking away cases where there is a definite medical disorder behind the tinnitus, the way that you approach it makes all the difference to how much you suffer. I suffered more with a much quieter tinnitus because of the way I approached it. There is no denying that volume matters here too of course, the more intrusive it is the harder it is to deal with it.

Where are these quotes?

Well of course they are. They have absolutely every right to be. Tinnitus is one of the most common ailments yet there's nothing for it. To make it worse, it's own sufferers are blatantly unhelpful and just give terible meme advice. If that isn't maddening then I don't know what is. There's many things that can be said about me, but at least I can give quality advice (even though most people will pretend it's not).

I'm turning off the commenting on this thread to give members time to think and calm down till tomorrow.

Yes, I'm sure this article totally proves your point -- especially considering you can't even tell what language it's in ;-)

Thanks my bad it's swedish. I Borrowed (stole) it from Autumnly, so I assumed it was german. Either way, that's not a proof against my point.

I was just messing with you.

I guess your point is that the Antinitus guy was allowed to present at the conference [this being a total quack device]. However, he was not part of the scientific programme of the conference: http://2018.tri-conf.org/index.php/scientific-program/time-schedule-and-scientific-program

Instead, he submitted a poster (one of 100s!), which anyone can (I think) do freely: http://2018.tri-conf.org/index.php/scientific-program/schedule-poster-sessions

You're jumping to conclusions. You could check with @Steve whether this guy was actually a meaningful presence at the conference or anyone took him seriously. I doubt it.
