If Tinnitus Is Irregular/Arrhythmic Tones, Is It Considered "Pulsatile"?

Hi, John,

No, your morse-code type of tinnitus would not be considered pulsatile. Pulsatile tinnitus usually has a vascular cause, and is very regular, in tune with one's heartbeat. Pulsatile tinnitus may be curable if a cause is found.

There is a condition called "tensor tympani syndrome", in which the sufferer experiences an irregular pulsating feeling, sort of like a spasm. Here is some more information on that condition;

Hope this information helps!

Best wishes,
Karen

Thanks for posting more links about tensor tympani syndrome,@frohike.

That link that I posted was working at the time, but guess it is no longer in operation.
