That's true I'm just very paranoid when it comes to medications, I don't know if even one tablet will affect me, if an antibiotic will affect, it's like we can no longer take medications. This sucksPeople who have tinnitus from ototoxic medications should still worry about protecting their ears from loud noises.

Damage is damage no matter how you got it.
My 2 cents.

For me it did. I got tinnitus immediately from a single loud noise. A few months later I had to take an antibiotic. It made the ringing much louder for a few hours after taking my first dose. I didn't make the connection between the antibiotic and the increased ringing because I was still new to tinnitus and I had never even talked to anyone about it so I had no idea of ototxicity. It didn't occur to me that there was a relationship between the increased ringing and the antibiotic. Though I was alarmed. The second day I took my dose and my tinnitus increased again. This time I made the connection, but it still didn't occur to me that the antibiotic presented the danger of a permanent increase. I took the antibiotic everyday for the five days prescribed and each time my tinnitus increased after taking the dose but then returned to its usual level after a couple of hours or so.If one did NOT get tinnitus from ototoxicity, does it mean taking antibiotics will STILL spike my tinnitus? Or even one tablet of an ototoxic medication?
