I'm Afraid I Need Some Support (Again)

yeah i agree. I try to protect myself from noises that could hurt My ears. But i am trying more and more to do regular stuff without earplugs (like going to the store). But the unpridected sound are so hard.

So today i had the worst day. Been to dentist, of course sooo many loud sounds i could barely Breathe. From all of the drills and tools in the Rooms around me, and Then ofc some construction work started.. Puuh. ive been feeling Low and scared all day.

And Then, My boyfriend came home from work so asked if he would like to go for a very short walk, just to get some air bc i was feeling anxious. I havent been outside the door in the afternoon/evening for more than a week because of all the fireworks in My neighbourhood, but its was quite yesterday and during the day today. So We walked for 5 meter and Then BOOM, right next us, fireworks exploderar. It was so loud and im freaking out!!!! I cant handle this anymore... My T Is unbearable and i cant even stand the thought of it getting worse. Sorry

Hi @Michael Leigh . Thank you for your tips. Ive read so many informative threads from you regarding H, and T aswell. Thank you for posting all of those.

Yeah I think so too, i am being referral to the Hearing Center here in Gothenburg and im going to talk to them about it. But theres months of waiting so im really trying (and fighting) my best til then. Hence im might come of as a bit whiny and "help-seeking! on this forum. But i really appreciate all of the advice i get!

no problem @Feliicia Try using sound enrichment at night as I've described in my posts. Oasis sound machines are very good.
Try using noise reducing earplugs if you find outside sounds too loud but try not to make a habit of wearing them too often.
Michael

Hi Felicia :)

Fellow Swede here!
I hope the ENT will help you with your new tone, I also got my T from noise exposure and have had some weird cracking and stuff since but it is not too bothersome to go back to them. I know what they will say anyway.
I use plugs on my way to work, the subway seems so loud and the trains going in and out of the platform sometimes makes a screeching sound that is unbearable. I have used plugs these days around New Years since I do not trust people to be considerate at all. Fortunately I have only experienced some fireworks going off in the distance and I also never go out on New Years (only to the store or something) just because I know people have a habit to start popping the fireworks off hours ahead of time.
If you want to talk or need anything, you can hit me up in in a PM :)
