I'm in the same boat way too loud!
Stay strong! We can overcome this!!
You can do it, focus on sunshine and happiness...and don't dwell too much on the negativity on these forums. =]
Tried Gabapentin...might need to use it for longer period but gave me nasty side effects....@1000,
Try a basic painkiller for ear and head pressure pain and try relax as much as you can and give your ears a rest from loud sounds .
Hopefully over the weekend you will be feeling a little better.
love glynis
Have you seen a doctor about your sadness sir? It might be worth taking something to help
You could possibly try to go see that your ears are ok (ENT). Just to rule out no fluids are building up and no infections are there.
You could possibly go see an audiologist and have your hearing checked. Possibly maybe get a hearing aid that has soothing masking sounds. My tinnitus is always horrible and loud and crude. I handle this venom 90% of the time. AT times I will make use of my hearing aids that have built in ocean noises.
You could possibly go and see a therapist and talk about your issues. If they do not have tinnitus, play them a tinnitus video and what it's all about. Educate them on what you are going through.
You could possibly start exercising and just being more active. I face a bit of depression daily. I force myself to go to the gym because I know how I will feel if i do not do it. When in the gym I am at my strongest(mentally and emotionally).
You could possibly use sound enrichment.
I have made use of all of these and it has carried me over 30 years. My life is beyond brutal (alone w/ no support or family, in pain 24-7 EVERYWHERE/fibro, sick animals, depression). Use all advantages, that you have in life to move ahead. My biggest advantage is that I am stubborn and do not know what it means to give up......
Why no NSAIDs?Dont use meds that are NSAIDS!
Keep pushing! I know its hard, but it CAN get better!
Agreed. I know how you feel. I feel the same way. It's horrendous.I'm feeling the tinnitus is too loud. Bilateral but more in left ear. I still have the fullness and pain.
An acoustic shock trauma can do a lot of damage... I don't know what to do...

I have an appointment soon... Any recommendation of meds.?
The first three months your body is in shock and can't believe this is real.
Nortriptyline, and Mirtazapine is considered pretty safe.
