Impulse Noise in Gym — Damage?

Just plain old silicone. Yours, too?

They are some hard material, no idea, feels like solid hard plastic. They don't enter my ear fully and are painful. Will also get silicone ones. My girlfriend got some with the highest reductions and they are soft silicone that fill out the whole ear. They look awesome.

Weird. Silicone will definitely be much better. My audiologist didn't ask for my choice in material at all, silicone was the default and only choice. (There were some funky color options, though! Alas, I missed my chance at having a rainbow earplug.)

Where did you get yours? I've been looking at some and I'm just not sure which to go for?

Did your spike subside?

Yes, it did. And the earplugs paid for themselves when some fool caused the same exact impact noise a few weeks later, but I was wearing the plugs, and knew that I'm safe. Can't recommend them highly enough.
