Hi guys, name's Charlie. 2 week tinnitus newbie. I'll be making a formal thread in the introduction section soon.
After extensive Googling (like we all do) I am just wondering if there is a "too late" period when tinnitus first hits you. Its been 2 weeks since mine hit which I'm pretty sure is yeeears of iPod educed. Went through the usual motions I'm sure everyone does, PCP just refers you to to someone else. The kicker is I gotta wait a month to see one.
I haven't really found any instances of this so I'm wondering what you guys here have experienced or heard. It would seem the sooner you get any affliction tended to the better the possible outcome but I haven't read much online. A bit freaked out since mine seems to be getting louder every couple days. I was actually thinking about going to the USC ( which has arguably the best ENT department in the state ) emergency room JUST because I'm desperate to be seen by an ENT, but I'm sure I'll get the 'oh it's another one of those hypochondriac pests' treatment. Anyhoo, sorry for the long ramble.
Thoughts?
