Cause of Tinnitus
medication?
I am being treated now by a subspecialist ENT for weeping skin in both my ears from otitis externa, caused by another Dr. who insisted on giving me neomycin ear drops and they messed me up big time!

During the course of the last two months, this specialist has de-brided my ears (using microscope and suction device plus instruments to carefully remove skin if it adhered to my ear canals or ear drums, all of this is beyond horrible), including today. so it's getting better, painfully SLOWLY and it feels like it never will go away but I guess it will. but now I have CLICKING AND THUNKING when i swallow!

Dr. suggested ETD last time I saw him, today said he doesn't know what else it could be, so I did some research and came up with "allergies" can cause ET irritation and swelling that will result in clicking. I don't have allergies, I cry. I cry every day, sometimes very often. I have a good reason for it but I won't go into it here.

CAN MY CRYING be irritating my nose to the point where my eustachian tubes are irritated, especially since so much work has been done in both my ears? DOES ANYONE KNOW?

Between the weeping skin thing and the tinnitus (any weeping skin makes it worse so I know when it's there) now this CLICKING I am losing my mind, no seriously, I might have to go into the hospital from this! HELP!!

I get lots of cracking and popping when I swallow.

What you can do is get the ENT to do that thing where they put a small camera down your nose and they can see what's going on with your eustachian tubes.

OMG I had that done once, it was awful! I'll talk to ENT next week, this is driving me up the walls, TY

Really?
It's weird but quick and painless

I wasn't prepared for it at the time, no one told me the Dr. was going to do this. I had a pain in my neck (had MRI, showed nothing) so this ENT shoved this thing down my throat, tried to get it into the nostril with the deviated septum first! ACK! The moment he removed it, I burst into tears. lol
