I have had a variety of chronic to life threatening illnesses over the last few years, constant and co-morbid. I have recently been recovering.
Last week for absolutely no reason I woke up with very high frequency mild tinnitus for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I can't tell you how painful it has been for me this last week, as my basic coping strategies for other illnesses are meditation and quiet/silent relaxation.
I am pretty sure that the medicine I have been taking (Mirtazapine) has been begging to get out of my system for about a year now. I'm fairly sure that it has caused my tinnitus.
Are cases of drug related tinnitus reversible? I have heard of people stopping aspirin and it going away etc.
Thanks
