Is Hyperacusis Linked with Visual Snow?

I've had tinnitus for a year and a half, hyperacusis for a month, and since yesterday my vision is somewhat more staticky and I get floaters in my vision, especially in sunlight.

What's weird is that after my hyperacusis started I started getting pain underneath/around my eyeballs.

I know that visual snow syndrome is heavily linked with tinnitus/hearing problems, but do we know the pathology and would repairing the underlying hearing damage repair visual snow?

Hyperacusis can relate to hypertension that causes "staticky" and floaters and certainly eye pain.

This can relate to several problems gone wrong with the eyes. but almost always caused by hypertension - raising blood pressure that may be just one quick and brief episode. Called a hypertension crisis. A retina problem can be fixed in 30 seconds by laser caused by hypertension where floaters and eye pain will disappear. However with any more rising blood pressure - hypertension - excitement, eye pain will resurface. Floaters probably not. Hyperacusis may also return.

I have this problem. Original hyperacusis was caused by noise trauma. Years went by without hyperacusis, then it reappeared with hypertension. Floaters, eye pain, flashes and all sorts of vision disturbances. My retina needed laser, but your retina may be fine. Eye pain with hyperacusis is mostly caused by hypertension. Try to control hypertension and all should improve, but you should consider getting your eyes checked. I know longer have floaters, but I developed eye pain again from more hypertension and some hyperacusis developed again, but this time, three months later.

How do I control hypertension and how do I know if my retinas need to be lasered?

I have had T for a year now. Now I have a bunch of floaters if I look at a bright sky, and one dark floater that I can usually see even when it's a little darker. I also have snow, noticeable more in the dark. I've seen an ophthalmologist and they prescribed glasses (although I have 20/20 vision), but said to try to ignore floaters and that nothing can be done for them. But when I look out at a bright sky, they are everywhere! So annoying.

I feel there must be a link between these new floaters and T. My T has worsened gradually over the last year, to the point where I can definitely hear it more when I am exposed to loud noises. Certain frequencies seem to set it off.

I've heard Omega oil supplements can help. I guess that's an easy first step! For what it's worth I was also in a snowboarding accident last Jan (2020) so that may have worsened (something?) over time and caused floaters to appear. Just shooting in the dark there.

Anyone else have more input?
