Hi!

So just wanted to check if steam inhalation is a safe method for treating ETD? I don't want to use nasal sprays in the first place.
Does anyone have good experiences from doing steam inhalation?

Yup, I have a mabis steamer inhaler and use patchouli, lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint and tea tree oil (not all at once, I use a couple at a time). You have to be careful, a drop or two of each is sufficient. You can also use it as straight steam as well. Also do it in a seperate room if you have pets, some oils can affect them. As for nasal. I am on Budesonide but also use a saline spray in between. I think mine is finally starting to clear up.

It should be safe. Try it 5/10 minutes at a time at first and be careful because sometimes the steam can really get hot and hurt you...

Yes it is safe if done properly.

How effective it is on ETD is debatable.
