Is There a Correlation Between Tinnitus Cause and Type of Sound/Pitch?

I'm wondering if people with a certain causes of T tend to have a certain kinds of sound (and pitch).

For example, I believe that people with T due to Meniere's disease tend to have lower-frequency pitch? (no idea what type of sound they experience, whether it's a "eeeeee" or a "sshhhh" or something else)

All interested in participating, please answer these questions three:
1. What is the cause of your T?
2. What kind of noise (or noises) do you hear?
3. What is the pitch? (low, high, or the frequency if you happen to know it)

That is a known fact about Meniere's disease, reason for which it is mentioned on the list of symptoms.

Very good poll, so I will answer it.

1) I wish I knew. Maybe I can go in the opposite direction, from knowing my type of T to discover the cause of it.

2)the great majority of time a hear an "èeeeeeeeeeee" but I also heard sounds that resemble with steam escaped because of high pressure (hisssing)

2)very high pitch, I have two sounds impossible to determine their frequencies for, as they change. I have most of the time one sound in the left ear, and another one in the right ear, but I experienced multiple frequencies in different "locations" of the head too.

1) Sorry, I can't really pinpoint how I got T. Could of been a head/neck injury.

2) The noise I hear is like an "eeeeee" sound.

3) I have no frequency sound level but it's a high pitch sound. Also , the sound level does not change when I turn my head / open jaw or other experimental positions. Sound level just stays the same high pitch.

Glynis, your information in confusing to me. I thought that a Meniere's disease type of T has low frequency (that's how I ruled it out, although I had fluctuating hearing and vertigo) I read that in many medical articles. So that is not true, Meniere type of T can also be a high piercing/hiss?

All I know is I was Diagnosed with menieres a long time ago and take 7-9 tablets a day for It.
My sound is a really high piercing hiss the same sound as my gass oven on full.
I have been under a Menieres specialist and had tests and now need to wear duel purpose hearing aids...lots of love glynis
