Cause of Tinnitus
Loud club
The gym I go to is very small (closest gym to my house) with some small Bose speakers set up on the wall. 5-6 small Bose speakers. The music feels loud even with 27 dB foam plugs. Phone says between 75-80 dB and so does my decibel metre.

The music feels way louder than that...

Time to find a quieter gym?

Maybe use ear muffs?

Hey @orbiter12, I'm not sure if it's an option for you, but I've found that the gym is often way quieter first thing in the morning before they have to turn up the music because there are so many people there. The gym I go to is pretty big, but when I use the rack farthest from the speakers the music seldom goes above 65dB. If you're one of the only people there they might also be more willing to turning down the volume for you. Only once did I have to leave early because someone was continually dropping a really heavily-loaded bar from above his head.

When I first got T, I used to work out with earplugs, but I'm not sure that's a good idea --- it seems like it could lead to dangerous pressure build-up inside your head during heavy lifts. I'm not a doctor or anything though, so I could be wrong about that.

To answer your question, I probably wouldn't go to a gym that plays music at 75-80dB. I'm only seven months in though and still fairly cautious, so others here may tell you differently.

Gyms can be bad.
I recently joined gym and thought I might go to a Spin class.
Got there and she started the music, and I felt like I was in a nightclub.
Needless to say, I got off the bike and left. Must have seemed rude, but I didn't have earplugs with me so no way was I sitting through that without protection.
Fortunately the gym area is not loud and I go when there is not many people there.

If your T is due to noise damage not stress or anything else then perhaps wearing earmuffs is advised so that at least you feel relaxed and not worry about potential noise damage

Also as a paying customer you have the right to ask to lower the music volume, a gym is not a nightclub !

My gym and any restaurant I went always lowered the music whenever I asked, but still some idiots will smash the weights on the machines in a gym so it's going to be loud anyway, so I wear my peltor ear muffs just to be safe and relaxed

...that look like headphones, and it's completely normal to wear headphones at the gym :)
