Firstly, sorry for creating so many topics here recently. I have simply been going through a month from hell with my ears. Anyways, I woke up a couple days ago (having slept on my right side), and my right ear had completely lost hearing. I checked in there, and dug out a massive amount of very wet wax, after which my hearing improved.

However, my hearing wasn't quite right in my right ear, and still isn't. I went to the Doctor that day, and got diagnosed with a Sinus Infection and Bronchitis. They gave me antibiotics, and five days of oral steroids. However, when they looked in my ear, they didn't see anything wrong, no wax or signs of infection.

So right now, my hearing is still noticeably less than in my left ear. If my left ear is at 100%, my right ear would be at like 80% or so. So still good, but it is noticeable, and my hearing feels slightly unbalanced. Also, no ringing, pain, or anything else, although the ear does feel slightly numb as well. I should note that I have experienced pressure and other odd sensations before, but not like this. This actually does seem like I am hearing a bit less in one ear than the other.

Could this be SSHL? Maybe a mild form of it? Just not sure what it is, or what to do about it, but the Doctor wasn't concerned so I'm not sure what to do, if anything. I'm also on five days of oral steroids anyway due to Bronchitis, which is supposedly the treatment for this?

Well, I went back to my Doctor today as this was really bothering me. This time she did see fluid behind my eardrum, and said it is infected. It could be causing all my problems, and the medicine should help clear this up. Hopefully that'll be the case.
