Is this TTTS?
Symptoms:
This started a few days ago—my ears thump or wince whenever I swallow, close my eyes tightly, burp, touch my ear canal, hear a plate clatter, or speak too loudly. Inserting an earplug or sticking my finger in my ear also causes a twinge or wince, accompanied by a sensation of air pressure. The best way to describe it is a sudden, painless twinge inside my head, face, or right ear, which sometimes makes me feel a little dizzy.
It's less bothersome in my left ear.
I can hear loud sounds fine; it's just that initial moment when I hear the sound, I experience the wince and thump. Burping or hiccuping also causes this weird sensation in my head. It's as if my body has become suddenly afraid of both internal and external sounds.
Two weeks ago, my left ear was fluttering for about eight hours for no apparent reason, like it was thumping. It wasn't my heartbeat.
I have no other symptoms—no vertigo, ringing, pain, hearing loss, or fullness.
I went to an urgent care doctor today. She said both ears have inflammation in the canals, but from what she could see, my eardrums (tympanic membranes) look fine.
Note:
I have been very anxious over the last 2-3 months due to suffering from a severe pinched nerve in my spine caused by spinal stenosis, along with hand tingling, pain, etc. My hypochondria and health anxiety have been extremely high.
