Is Tylenol OK for Headache?

Hi - I'm new here, I'm still in panic mode. My tinnitus started this week after tobramycin eye drops - I know, hard to believe. Now I'm afraid to take anything but I've had a bad headache for 2 days and I'd like to relieve it.

I'm trying to get out and around and habituated (omg so hard) I don't want to make anything worse.

I would only take one Tylenol but I'm afraid that if it increases the tinnitus I will freak out more, as it's only been a few days. This is all very new and very scary.

Any advice will help. Thank you!!

I had taken Tylenol many times, and I was fine.

Thanks. Im glad it does not effect you in a bad way. It was added to lists as of 2015 or 16 but i know some people can take it (and even advil) and some cannot. I appreciate your reply!

Over the past 20 years, only 504 people reported getting tinnitus after taking Tylenol to the FDA. It is not a lot, given how many people actually take Tylenol.

I take acetaminophen and ibuprofen sporadically (and at OTC dosages) and haven't noticed any ill effect.

Indeed. I had the same reaction at onset. I wasn't living anymore. I had taken all the joys out of life for fear it would make my T worse.

I also was afraid to take anything, but I always took Tylenol for sinus problems and now I use Tylenol pm for sleep due to tinnitus on a regular basis, it has not interfered with my tinnitus. It works well for me.
