Is Weed Okay When You Have Tinnitus?

My view on this subject is that it's probably not a good idea to smoke weed if you have paranoid or OCD tendencies. You may find you are even more likely to obsess about the T!

Then again if it helps some...

For example, lifting weights gives me a spike every time, is the gym ototoxic too?

I don't know. I'm into bodybuilding and if I lift when I'm stressed or stress when I lift, it can jack up my tinnitus a lot. If I keep relaxed and in a good mood when lifting and don't try to push past failure then my ears are usually ok. But stress is damaging. It can cause permanent damage to the brain, heart, etc. I'm certain it can damage the ears.

I'm pretty sure it's just a blood pressure thing in most cases. Stress increases blood pressure and so does physical exertion, neither are actually "ototoxic" though.

Any one else out there have sinus and middle ear issues that when resolved their t went away? I am still holding out hope that this is not permanent. Its been about a week now that I been on flonase and steroids.
Tammy Rowe, it was a journey, but I my T did go away (for the most part). I did zyrtec for 2 weeks, flonase for 2 weeks, 2 rounds of steroids and tubes in my ears. It got a bit better. However, acupuncture really helped. For the most part, it is gone. When it does come on, it is very light, and only lasts for a couple of seconds. I avoid loud music and noise, and make sure I take my meds. Stress is the big killer, though. That makes it come back. Also, one shot of afrin helped, but don't do it often, as it has a rebound effect. Weed actually made it a bit worse the other day. When I woke up, tinnitus was gone.
