I've Become Isolated and Reclusive Due to Tinnitus and Blurred Vision

Hi @all to gain
Did a search on propranolol and this post came up. Was wondering if you are still on propanolol? If yes, how long you've been taking this before your T started? If not, did you notice any effects on your T after off propranolol? When you took it, what was your dosage?
I just might need to take this, knowing its danger, but sometimes there are just no choice.
No, I'm not on it. I only took it for about 3 weeks. The combination of it and fluoxetine gave me tinnitus. I honestly can't remember the dosage, but it was 2-3 tablets a day.

At least you know the dangers involved. Is there no alternative?

I wish there is. I dont know what else can control high blood pressure, other than eating healthy and exercising and hoping for the best, which may or may not happen, and even if it does happen, it will be at least months away.

Certainly there is medication to control high blood pressure. I took Nebivolol for years and it does not impact my tinnitus. I also stopped it for 2 months to see if it has any impact on my tinnitus, but that was not the case.

@xyz Nebivolol seems to have less side effects, hope that's true. Did you develop T before or after taking Nebivolol? and what's your dosage?

Hi,

Due to an adverse reaction to medication I've had tinnitus since early June, but I didn't notice until late June.
In mid-June, and also as a reaction to the same medication, my vision became blurred.

Since then my life has changed, and I have become very isolated and reclusive. I've hardly been outside for the last 2 months; only to doctors' appointments and on the odd other occasion.

My ears feel completely compromised; I can feel clicking in each ear and I have high-pitched tinnitus in both ears. I went to an ENT two months ago, but that was before I had an MRI scan, which I feel has certainly made my tinnitus worse.

Having my vision get blurred and getting tinnitus at the same time has been a big shock to me, but I started getting used to the idea of blurred eyes as they can be fixed with glasses and/or a cataract operation. It was the tinnitus that was really bothering me.

However, today both have been bothering me, and my change in life circumstances is really getting to me. My quality of life has dropped from high to zero due to tinnitus and my eyes. I have become totally scared about going outside because I do not want to hear loud noises and make things worse.

I really don't know what to do. I see no end to this and I'm unable to accept my new life situation.

How have other people dealt with things?
Have you experienced any improvement?

My tinnitus started before I started Nebivolol. I think I take this now for nearly ten years 5 mg daily.

In addition to my above observation, I had another peculiar health issue aside from tinnitus and blurred vision begin after dental work. That was that I suddenly lost all body hair on my left side. Pits, other places not polite to mention, but lost only the left half, all leg hair that finally grew out on the right, but the left was bare until this year. And my eyebrows now need to be plucked which is some different from having about 5 hairs only for brows beginning a decade ago after dental work. I am of the strong opinion that this is technology being used to track people. If you take whatever drug a doctor prescribes, even though the dangers to your health and ability to function in society is worsened by taking it, you probably are tracked. If your blood work shows you are taking meds, then no need to track with their gps and covert chipping that can go in with a needle guised to take blood. When I complained of hair loss and vision issues, I was told at 50 years of age it was all due to being pre-menopausal and that as we get older our eyes don't work and our hair falls out. Well, I didn't get younger over the last decade but most of the clothes sticking to me due to abnormal static stopped about a year ago. I haven't got zapped lately turning on the outlets either. My hair, is only turned white on the left side of my head all around the ear and just above the tooth that hisses. The abnormal whitening of hair is well known in the world of ham radio operators, due to RF.
