Thanks, sure I will.@LanaK
One of the worst things that can halt the habituation process and your recovery Lana is negative thinking and reading negative posts in tinnitus forums. Believe me it is not good for you. I have had tinnitus for 23 years and counselled people (still do) with Noise induced tinnitus, and corresponded with them at: tinnitus forums, by email and on the telephone.
If you intend on visiting tinnitus forums, my advice is not to read negative posts and not to correspond with negative thinking people, as their beliefs can become yours if you are not careful. Tinnitus veterans such as myself and those seasoned to tinnitus are not affected by negative thinking people because we have experience. People new to tinnitus have enough on their plate without taking on additional pressure.
When you have time, please click on the links below and read my posts: Tinnitus and negative counselling/ Acquiring a positive mindset/ Tinnitus and the negative mindset.

Being in relatively early stage I need positive approach. I am not scared anymore, as I was in earlier times, but still desperately want relief.
But I understand other sufferers too who have tried many things and did't get relief ... I guess everybody's story is unique. We all are here to find help how to cope better with this disease and hopefully to become free of it. Somebody will be lucky to get rid of it, some will habitutate and some will strugle with it due to many different reasons (subjective, objective)...
I don't know where I myself will be after some time, but I still hope for best and tend to read positive stories because of that. For ex. reading that for some people (even if not for all unfortunately) fluctuating tinnitus settle down with time is a positive sign for me.
