Cause of Tinnitus
Headphones maybe?not sure really.
I found my frequency actually right now and my t is extremely similar to this, not sure if pulsitile, in my worst days volumen I would say is 30% to 40% depending on which speakers you use

Between this

And this

And I would say more towards the second video

Yes, mine was measured in the 12KHZ - 14KHZ range too. Fun eh?
Well when is low I can live with it easy but when it spikes I dreadful , for a moment there I thought I was the only one this frequency

13 in the right, 14 or 15 in the left.
I don't hear it much anymore though.
How if you don't mind me asking? Did you habituated or did you do something special?

Interesting. I read that you think your tinnitus is due to TMJ, I think mine is as well and mine sounds like 13000. But definitely not that loud.

Yes I think due to the fact that I've done three separate auditory test all came out perfect, and my ent said that one I have deviated septum and two I still have my wisdom teeth not for long though, not to mention before my t I was clenching and grinding my teeth for over a month on an improperly seated root canal crown.

Hopefully we have a chance to know what silence is again man. Tinnitus has really shown me whats really important in life.

I tried to listen to the sound Vidio but Carn't not hear it with my hearing so Carn't comment..but hope you are ok....lots of love glynis

Same tones here.
Could be even higher around 15 or 16 kHz.
Volume is what matters. Today, on a loud day, my head sounds like an old CRT TV.
@I who love music : Amazing that you do not hear them anymore.

Strange for me today: Woke up with loud T.
Did some gardening and was distracted. T went more into the background.
Then went to restaurant and my T competed with the music. T went sky high.
Back at home, my T is filling whole head.

I am sure that once we have no more anxiety, found a way not listening to it, T will loose its grip and goes into background. But haven't found this way myself yet. T is screeching in my head.

Martin69,
In your post you described your T in a number of ways,
"Same, 15 or 16 kHz, old CRT TV, loud, into the background, sky high, filling whole head."

You can try the 'amazing' method I use too. Simply don't worry about describing your T to yourself or others.
When you get the urge to describe your T, instead just describe the feeling you have at that moment.

This is the first step.
The second step is to keep track of these emotional responses as they dwindle.
Then hopefully in the future you'll recognize that the emotional responses are decreasing, meaning you're hearing your T less. Like you said, "Amazing."

You guys have really good hearing if you can hear that, my T ears don't hear anything even close to that frequency, just the f//king T.

I can slightly hear the first one (when on full volume), the second one I cannot hear at all.
This is where my T is. No more hearing in this area - I guess thanks to going to clubs long time ago.
My T is exactly at that range, 13-15 kHz.
This is for many since the outer hear cells (for high frequencies) get destroyed first.

My hearing loss on a standard test is from 2-8K, at 65-70 db's, right ear only. Probably, wiped out above 8K I suspect also. I'm closing in on profound hearing loss. All I hear is noise in that ear. Lot's of noise! It's absolute madness!
