Anyone keep a record of what they eat and compare it to their tinnitus severity?

Given we eat so many different things throughout the day, how do you narrow it down?

I'm getting days when my tinnitus is manageable then days when I get extra noises and it's intense and I just can't figure out why some days are horrendous and others aren't.

There has to be a common denominator?

ya know, I was going to, but I just never did. I just started taking note of things that seemed to coincide with a bad spike. There's a grocery store down the street from where I work that has "fresh" sushi and that seemed to spike me about an hour after eating both times I tried it so I stopped eating that stuff.

I'm pretty sure things that cause inflammation generally spike tinnitus like some preservatives.

Drinking beer and eating chocolate is my only comfort now and I will never stop. We have a really shit life already and taking away the small pleasures that maybe make a barely noticeable difference to the noise one way or another isn't worth it in my opinion. I would include smoking in that. I know you like a smoke Allan and I say go for it.

The one and only benefit I've found to having tinnitus is you don't give a fuck anymore about things killing you. I've never felt less anxiety regarding death or harming myself. It's almost like a super power. I'm considering becoming a vigilante of sorts and using my inability to feel fear to kill assholes who don't really deserve a place on this earth.

Maybe you could create the next Marvel superhero: Tinnitus Man!

Needs to kick some ass in the noisy streets to mask his tinnitus at night, and he doesn't give a shit about anything.

Forget being bitten by a radioactive spider, this guy simply goes to a loud gig one day, and then bam, Tinnitus Man emerges.

They do say all superheroes are born out of extreme suffering.
