So after 11 months of tinnitus,
yesterday i made the decision to go to a night club because it was my bday and also because we were supposed to be in the terrace, but the terrace was empty and it started to rain.
so i got into the club to be honest i was there for at least 30 minutes.
with foam earplugs, veerrry plugged.

the music was around 91 db, but to be honest the place was very small and with no ventilation.
so after a few minutes of dancing with friends, i left and im glad i did go.

i also had some wine.

and a stupid guy throw some pyrotechnic near to me and my friends, not so near but i kinda runaway and plugged my ear.

no increase, T remains low.
and im happy that i had a party night with my friends in my bday.

just wanted to share.

i also went to a party and it wasnt that noisy and dance the night away!
:)

Good on you that you find your freedom from the T bully. While it is prudent to protect your ears and to stay away from loud places, you are the best judge how much your ears can take to risk further injury to the ears. It is a delicate balance between freedom and caution. But to have the courage to dare T and go out to have some fun is a good step in the right direction in reclaiming your joy in life.

Happy New Year

Way to go @Mario. I too was celebrating New Years Eve. Those foam earplugs seem impossible to get get in my ears.
It's just the way my ears are. I got some other tree-kind of ear plugs and they worked! Got them in my ears good. They didn't hurt. I'm glad I wore them. I feel ok the next day. I was afraid the night would go bad.

We were in the adult area of the party, still loud. Good mix of people, ages, and dance music, had fun.
The younger crowd over at the club/bar seems to play hiphop, and it's just crazy loud. I stayed away.

Guys i really recommend you all look into custom fitted musician ear plugs. I swear it will be one of the best investments you can make. Happy New year !!!

Before i came to this forum i was still going to gigs And using ear plugs no problems. Since i came here its made me have to think if its worth it to go again. Back then i didn't realise t could get worse until i read this forum but i do think lts a case by case basis and some people may be okay in loud places as long as they use plugs. Glad you had a good night @Mario martz :)

I went to my friends pub opening last week. He had a band playing and I had a brilliant time (with my ear plugs in of course).

Cool, glad you are going out and living the life again!

No worries, with properly instearted foam earplugs - you get best protection and ears will be safe.

When the siren call to dance comes we are often helpless to resist it, tinnitus be damned. ;)
