Let’s Support Tinnitus Talk!

Arrggg... it is almost tomorrow over there!!!

I am gonna have to log off and won't see the end of the movie.:arghh:

Okay...early morning U.S. time here and had to look here while having my coffee.

@Ed209 how are you doing so far? My offer still stands just a couple more donations. I really don't want those new cowboy boots (I collect and wear them all the time) and will gladly donate the money here. :)

So many have been a part of your TT fundraiser that is something to be proud of.

Guess I have a few more U.S. hours? Yea...I thought it would be over when I got up this morning.

Just go to the first page in this thread for Ed's donation link!!

Thanks Starthrower; I see we've got one more donation (y). I've been having a family day round my cousins; food, sun, drink, and of course football. Great day.

Bam you're a total legend. You're suffering and yet you're still thinking of others. Incredible gesture.

@Ed209 I so agree Bam's contribution means so much to me and TT. What a wonderful person.

Argg...four more?

Still what you have done here is appreciated. I know how difficult this is. But so many here have donated so far even with financial hardships. It makes my heart happy. And I thank them.

Only 4 more donations that ends at midnight to pick a winner...

If you are able to make a small donation to hit the 50 members donation Ed209 has arranged by midnight we would be really grateful... xxx

There's just over two hours to go. If you're reading this and you've been thinking about donating, but aren't sure, now is the time to jump in and do an amazing deed for the day.

I am a man of integrity, so we need to hit 50 for a winner to be picked.

In the end we didn't quite make the 50, so unfortunately, a winner cannot be picked. However, I'd like to thank each and every one of you who donated because you have all made an incredible difference!! Be proud of yourselves for standing above the parapet and doing something remarkable. I can't thank you all enough.

I have no idea what the total from all of this was, but whatever it is, you should all be immensely proud of yourselves.

Group hug, and cheers for being awesome!!

Thanks Ed. Add in my donation!

Thanks Starthrower! We were so close. Still an awesome effort by all involved. :thankyousign:

So so close. Still, it's an amazing achievement.
Behind the scenes there is an incredible amount of work going on.
Could you tell us, pls, (or someone) more about what's going on behind the scenes? I was always interested to know.

An incredible amount of time and work goes into running Tinnitus Hub, as well as this forum and the Facebook page. They have conducted two record breaking surveys, and done collaborative work with the TRI and the BTA. They make printed materials to take to all the tinnitus events they attend to best represent our needs. They have published a paper, and so much more.

Currently one of the main projects can be found here, and anyone can join in and help:

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/help-needed-for-tinnitus-guide-project.28817/

They are making a tinnitus guide to help new and longterm sufferers. Their aim is to be as scientific, and factual, with their advice as is humanly possible using researched ideas that best represent the current known facts.

As you can see, a £5 ($7 us) donation, represents unbelievable value for money.

Please do not stop donating just because this has now finished. If you can see and appreciate the tremendous amount of work that goes into this site then please continue to support it. TT deserves every penny; especially with how much we get back in return. Help the site flourish.

That is a lot of work! Thank you for clarifying.

Thank you for the support!

We greatly appreciate everyone's contribution.

As for statistics, most selected either $5 or $7 as the donation amount (because initially there wasn't an option for $7, we changed the $5 option to $7 to match the campaign "rules").

Some ended up giving more. @Ed209's campaign raised a total of $565. This is a very respectable amount and helps us in various ways (for more details, see this post by @Markku).

We want to thank @Ed209 for his incredible self-initiative and eagerness to make a difference toward our work.

Although the campaign is over I'd like to thank the person who just PMed me to say they've donated. Thank you for the generosity and keep it up folks. The continued donations are an awesome sight to see.

A decent number there, everyone. Please all give yourselves a huge pat on the back for this awesome team effort.

The prize money went to TT, by the way, which I'm sure you'll all be happy with.

:thankyousign:
This is great! Congrats everyone and special thanks to you Ed :) That was really fruitful!

In fact, there is another anonymous donor I want to thank who sent the money via mail. Again, it was an awesome gesture. There are many great and caring people on here.

Thank you so much for the update of Ed's fundraiser!!

@Ed209 this was great to read today. So glad a few more donated! Nice to support this site.
