Hi. I have never been involved with a forum so forgive me if i make some mistakes and for your GENTLE assistance i will be grateful ha. I dont know much insofar as the causes of tinnitus but i do as to the effect on lucidity, what lucid dreaming is, and the effect ""T" has upon it. First we must understand our states of consciousness and the cycles per second (basically brainwaves) in which each of them operate. Our conscious mind operates in the Beta(awake) state of consciousness and operate between 12-30 cycles per second. Next we have Alpha which operate at 7.5-12 cycles per second. Alpha is the first dream state we encounter and is the only one of the dream states that we can recall consciously. I liken radio stations to this. Do you know when you turn the radio dial and tune between two stations and you receive transmission with a little of each? This is exactly what is happening with your brain. But understand each level of consciousness has it's own language. The problem one will encounter with this is that we generally try to use the language of our beta and directly translate our first dream state, alpha. Its exactly the same as expecting the two radio stations you are caught in the middle of and expecting the content therein to "Jive" , or make sense. This shouldnt be confused with lucidity. Lucidity is the ability to be CONSCIOUSLY aware AND in control of your actions and outcome in your first level of dreams (alpha). The reason we ,or some of us, remember so much of our dreams is that tinnitus interrupts our normal pattern of sleep and prevents us from entering the deeper dream states of "theta' and 'delta". This is why our dreams are so vivid to us, because the whoosh whoosh prevents us from going into the deeper states which we subsequently have no recollection of . ( just like two radio stations wont hear the content of the other if there is another in the middle. My advice. When in the beta condition , or awake, condition your mind to be LUCID. This is where true lucidity will aid your sleep process. WHEN YOU ARE AWAKE, concentrate, or meditate(its the same thing) on understanding that when you are in the alpha state, to communicate with yourself that the uneasiness you are feeling is not necessary and your fear is only FalseEvidenceAppearingReal. Oh one more thing. Stop trying to analyse your dreams. I dont care how many books have claimed to unlock the secret of the code of dreams! The personal memory bank of experience is so subjective that no one could possibly place a collective label on it with generic diction. So many people, including me at one point, become so entranced and preoccupied with analysing there dreams they forget to live and are paranoid of the conscious. Well i hate to go on and on lol but i hope this reaches the right thread and the right ear. God Bless.
