I recently underwent mastoid surgery on my left ear and was hoping someone could advise me on what to expect during the recovery process. The information provided by my consultant has been quite vague.
It has now been six weeks since the operation, but unfortunately, my tinnitus and hyperacusis have increased significantly—almost tenfold.
I've been told it could take three to six months to determine whether the surgery has been successful.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or insights.
