I only took Melatonin a few times, but every time I take it I get a pain on my right side just above the hip. Last night I only took .25 mg (had a 1 mg pill that I cut up in 4 ) and I still got the pain. Has anyone experienced this? I don't think I'm going to take it anymore after this. Thanks

I also doubt that its the melatonin. Your dose, .25 mg, is next to nothing. I have to take 5 mg to feel anything. I, too, have heard tart cherry juice is an alternative.

the lower the better. They make a 1 mg time release cap so it will release slowly all night long. I was actually cutting that into 4 parts so it would only be .25. But them I kept getting the paid above my hip

@Geo I take 3 mg I don't see how anything less than 3 mg would work (but I can be wrong) I don't take it every night and yes it makes me sleepy I was thinking of taking 2 3 mg pills to see if that would make me sleep through the night.

no i ment do u have the 1g bottle or did they have a 3g but u just said it right now my sis got me 10g and thought that was too high

Melatonin seems to lower my tinnitus a little and make my ears less reactive to noise. However, my ears seem to hurt noticeably worse after taking it.

I'm taking small doses. Just 1 mg. I am currently trying it morning and night even though it makes me groggy since it helps with volume and reactivity.

It could be something like worse bruxism while sleeping after taking it, but it does seem to be linked in some way.
