Is there anybody stuck with a morse code? If so, what would be the cause and did it ever go away on its own?

Hi, there are many posts about hearing Morse code tones. Go to the blue search box in the upper right and type in

Morse code

I have a feeling that the morse code is slowly fading... or maybe I'm just habituating to this relapse... not sure...

Hey

I never had morse code until about 6 years into t and then it started very lightly in the left ear and could only be heard at night. Now at 10 years of t I have many morse codes in both ears all different speeds and frequencies. No idea why this has happened....like most t symptoms/changes it just basically does whatever it likes when it likes. Sometimes the morse code will overpower the tonal ring, somedays the tonal ring almost covers the morse code, somedays the morse code stops in one or both ears and then returns the next day.

There really is no way of knowing why it has come and why it sometimes goes and zero point attempting to figure it out in my opinion. I have had times where the morse code goes for a whole week or so and then comes back. The best way to think of the morse code is it is just t doing its thang - don't try to analyse or control it as take it from me...it's pointless :|

mine started with a morsecode on one ear, then a couple of days later came the high freq ringing that's most intrusive.
As soon as there is somewhat silence I hear the morsecode, and the more silent it is the the more constant a tone it turns into. At night I wake up and it has turned into a constant tone which I find even more mellow than a constant beeping poke

my morse code isn't high pitched, it sounds like an electric shock every 3 seconds.

Very annoying but I mostly forget about it thorought the day...

I only have the morse code in the left ear but not at all times. Usually it is overpowered by the EEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound. It has a pattern and is just not a random series of sounds.

I'm bringing up the thread.

The morse code on my right ear only has been increasing in loudness to the point that I always hear it.

Any other comment on this? Anybody else experiencing this?

Hey @ampumpkin ! I've got the same a week ago, had a big spike and the morse code was present even during the day and that lasted 2 days, then faded a little bit to the point i only hear it at night. Now i'm stuck with anxiety that wakes me up at night because of that, even if some night the T is really low.

My T fluctuate so much, I just don't get it... 3 weeks ago I thought that was it and that the T was gone forever as i've had 2 weeks and a half of no T at all! Because of that i seem to have 2 modes: Having T and waiting to have T...

My morse code volume goes hand in hand with my EEEEEE sound. they fluctuate evenly. But i think the morse code is the hardest to ignore. Mine is not regular and seems to have a ramdom rhythm. I hate that bastard!

Good luck

Do you have hearing loss? I got the morse code terribly when my T started 3 months ago. Now im introducing myself to more sounds it seems to have reduced/im getting used to it x

I think I've had everything imaginable in sound within my head/ears over the 40 years I've had T. Dots and dashes? Without a doubt. Plus, tapping, swishing, ringing, cricketing, and pulsatile T. Oh, you worry initially, but usually the "abnormal" intruders come and go without ryhme or reason. It's all a part of the adventure.

Hi, @UserID ,

Did your pulsatile tinnitus actually go away? Or, have you learned to ignore it? I've had pulsating tinnitus, along with hissing tinnitus, for over four years now. It would be heartening to know that, for some people, the PT might eventually go away!

Mine comes and goes, Karen. And I have nothing by which I can point to a cause. It merely arrives on its own, I deal the best I can with it, and it lasts as long as it's been predetermined, I suppose. Any more analysis, I'd say, is a waste of time, at least that's how I view it after over forty years with T.

I'm on vacation this week and my morse code seems to be less loud! hurray!!

actually, I'm having a great week!! my T annoys me less and I have noticed that my reaction to it is not as bad as it used to be...
