Is this normal? My normal tinnitus has declined significantly. But now I'm hearing a what sounds like an engine going off, a random assortment of bass tones, and recently, bells. Yes, bells, like the chime from my living room clock when it strikes each hour. These all sound like they are coming from outside or even my head, unlike normal tinnitus.
I'm not freaking out. But I'm wondering what I am experiencing, if it is common, and if it will go away? I've read some threads that suggest I need to stop listening to repetitive sounds. I have isolated myself the past few days, so maybe my brain is starved of stimulus. I don't know, but it's very confusing. What do I do? Help?
Update: I lied. I am freaking out. What is going on?? I think I've had this before, but it went away. Why has it come back?? I can't distinguish what I'm actually hearing and what is actually there.
