Cause of Tinnitus
Not sure maybe Otitis Media
About 2 years ago I got a Mitsubishi Colt CZ1. Great fun, my first car. I notice the LCD display emits a high pitched electric noise that can be heard when no music is on. Sometimes when music is on I can hear the noise depending on where I place my head, mixxed in with the music.

My tinnitus is a right ear hiss like the sound of a fizzy tablet dissolving in water, sometimes I get a left ear sound like a dial tone from an old house phone. Tonight I noticed the sound from my car is the same note as the left ear tone! Could this be the cause!? I spent a lot of time in the car, every night, being new to driving. I'm now wondering if I should change car, and if I'll get better if I'm not exposed to the noise.

Even if you don' have the same car as me, try googling MITSUBISHI COLT HIGH PITCHED NOISE and checkout how many people are pis*ed off at the sound ..... maybe I'm being paranoid

What do you guys think??

It would have to be a VERY loud high pitched noise to cause tinnitus, plus our Tinnitus frequency isn't normally the same as the noise that caused the damage, if that were the case most of us would have low to mid range frequency tinnitus. Your car's lcd display isn't causing your T, could be million different things but it's definitely not that.

I'd need about 3 or 4 turbos to mask mine .
