Hi guys,
Not sure if anyone is too interested but I had my herbalist/naturopath appointment today. He seemed pretty surprised at my age I had T, but after telling him my history he seems to think that as some people are predisposed to illnesses and my nasal flush just kicked my T off :( pretty much what I thought.

He suggested me going off the ginkgo as he said that is usually only of benefit to older people with hearing loss and usually doesn't work that well anyway, but is happy for me to stay on the magnesium.

He wants to concentrate in both my T and my anxiety/stress and I've left with a big bottle of foul smelling herbal water ;p I also have a bottle of kava tablets which are relaxing and calming - I guess that's why people from island nations are so laid back - all the kava they drink! haha

I know not everyone believes in this but I'm willing to give it a go. He by no means said it will cure me but he thinks he can get me in better shape than I'm in now.

We shall see!

He wants to concentrate in both my T and..

Surprising he didn't tell you to try not concentrating on it! Haha

I wish you good luck with the Kava stuff. I also went to see a doctor today to have an injection that my ENT prescribed because he suspects my T just may be caused by a virus and supposedly my immune system a little off. Can't say I feel confident about it doing any good, but if it's safe I don't see the downside. Other than the cost..

Anything you can do to alleviate the stress of tinnitus will help. Though we have no control over the T, we can control our stress (to a certain extent) and the how we react to our T. Being relaxed will certainly help. Wonder what the rate of T is on the islands??? :)

And just to update further ... The herbal mixture tastes like sh!t. By far the worst I've ever had (and I've seen herbalists on and off over the past 10 years so I know they don't taste great) I feel like I could breathe fire!

Hi,

if you want to keep it natural try meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) tea before going to sleep, use honey with it, and it tastes great, here in Europe it is a common flower, I can harvest it myself, my granny told that people have been using it forever, I drink it too, it is great, but do not use too much on cup of tea or it will be too strong. It clens your body and helps you relax.

I lived here my whole life and love it ! but i wish it would snow hahaha.. Australia is a nice place to live THE LAND DOWN UNDER.. i live on an island so every one knows some one lol.. well i hope you do come to visit alot has changed here..
