Due the gut-brain axis, the gut can affect the brain and the brain can affect the gut. I think a lot of my depressive episodes have affected my gut (usually by causing constipation) which causes me to feel worse and I get in a bad cycle.

I tried 2 different probiotics one of them was for around 10 days but they both gave me bad gas. Not sure if it goes away after a while. Magnesium worked great when I was on Klonopin but not nearly as good now. I drink plenty of water, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe there is something I am supposed to take with it...not sure.

One thing I have been meaning to do is do cardio exercises, does that help anyone here?

Okay, I found something that has definitely helped and I figured I would post it in case anyone else had this problem. I bought something called "Digestive Enzymes" at a supplement store. It contains multiple enzymes that help digest different types of foods. One capsule is supposed to be taken before a meal. So far it has been amazing at eliminating the terrible gas that I had and my emotions have improved. These are completely different than probiotics since probiotics are bacteria.

Have you ever thought of speaking to a dietitian.
You might eliminate the gas through the combination of the right foods and not require the enzymes.
Just a thought.

I went to a nutritionist before but she just told me some basic stuff. Maybe I can get a food allergy test done sometime.
