MPP Research Team Report:

So, very interesting.:bookworm: I have heard before that Tumeric has anti cancer properties. Well, I've been trying to find a backdoor to the method of inducing hair cell regeneration and I came across this paper which is about ly411575 regenerating mice cochlear hair cells.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4557215/#!po=10.9375

From that:
"In neonatal mice, downregulation of Notch signaling also induces SC (supporting cells, I'm assuming these are progenitor cells) proliferation, whereas in adults it leads to more hair cells via transdifferentiation."

More on Notch signalling:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notch_signaling_pathway

So I was curious to see if any foods contain properties that downregulate notch signalling and found this:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2780034/

"We sought to evaluate the role of Notch1 in hepatocellular cancer (HCC), and evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of curcumin, a known Notch1 inhibitor."

Curcumin:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curcumin

Here is a ScienceMag report saying there's nothing beneficial about curcumin:

In the comments someone left this interesting comment:
"That's not true. I have been taking curcumin capsules for more than a year. It improved my short time memory, improved the symptoms of gingivitis, the longvida one even improved my hearing and I also can feel it improved my cerebrovascular, reduced the risk of getting stroke"

And I found this: (curcumin is in tumeric)
https://www.turmericforhealth.com/turmeric-benefits/5-benefits-of-turmeric-in-tinnitus

So I'm about to take supreme mega doses of curcumin and super saturate my flesh with this stuff and see if it makes my tinnitus go away.

Update: found this:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/26978516/

I'm gonna try it though.

Another update:
Xanthahumol is another notch inhibitor:
http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0127464

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xanthohumol

I'm going to try both of these things together.

Very insightful post @JohnAdams. I will look into Tumeric!

I know I tagged some of you in the original post, but this poster reported that her tinnitus was completely GONE after taking NAC.

I wonder how much of a roll Glutathione plays a roll in everyday tinnitus. I know it can help prevent damage and has a strong anti-oxidant effect. It has been proven to reduce oxidation stress in the brain. I wonder if it does something similar to the auditory system as well. I'm not saying this will cure all tinnitus, I am just curious about the mechanisms at play here.
