There is a tree from west Africa called pterocarpus erinaceus. Extract from some part of this plant is a natural gamma secretase inhibitor.

According to my very rough calculations, if the extract of Pterocarpus erinaceus is similar enough to the ly411575, then, based on that paper on regenerating hair cells, you would need to orally ingest 23.4 milligrams per pound of your weight per day for 5 days to replicate the results of the mouse experiments. Thats about 3.5 grams for a 150 lb. person. It says the ly411575 orally ingested caused "significant side effects" in the mice but also restored their hearing. I would postulate that the tree based gamma secretase inhibitor may (and that's a big may) be non toxic but then again we are talking about manipulating basic cellular function globally across all body systems because eating it will disperse it into your bloodstream. So it may give you cancer, it could also cure cancer. It may be the Tree of Life. Who knows.
