Wow I'm starting to realize that people are just generally retarded. Even rich biomedical company CEOs. Politicians are probably the worst. I just spoke with a man that teaches a youth group at his church that didnt know what King Solomons temple was. The woman I talked to at the ATA was an airhead and not only that but seemed offended when I had to correct her statement that she keeps up with all research but had no knowledge of Frequencytx. All these angry political protesters are stupid, on both sides. People are just idiots.

They're mostly concerned about their popularity and acceptance among colleagues. Then making as much money as possible by staying ahead of competitors. Then their second home, trophy wife, vacations, toys, and grandchildren's generational equity.

I really doubt FX TX will bring back true high-fidelity hearing (if it even works at all). That would require diagnostics and biotechnology that probably won't be available for the better part of a century.

A long time ago, people actually ate his propaganda. This forum is kind of the hub of tinnitus forums, and is the biggest and most "with the times" forum. So we learned that JB is full of shit. Everyone else still has no idea. These forums are just relics of a time that people actually believed his crap.
Yep. But the sheer numbers in those forums and groups - and their perspective - gets me so upset. The more people who believe in Jackerborf's crap, the less support there is for biotech. FML KMN

Being treatment focused is sadly a new concept to the tinnitus community. We started it, and we're indirectly exporting it across the internet. Look at r/tinnitus, it's much better than it was a year ago. If you see a post from someone who says they're new to tinnitus and that it sucks, the top comments are now "Don't worry there will be a treatment soon" instead of "You habituate don't worry".
The difference between TT and r/tinnitus, and all these shitty facebook groups is that r/tinnitus and TT are open communities with new members bringing in new ideas all the time. The facebook groups are just closed off, and are basically living snapshots of time.
Interesting theory, although the FB groups do get new members too. I think it's also due to the tone set by the mods. Like I saw this huge FB group (i think like 10k members) in its group description glorifying habituation like a religion and providing like 3 million self-harm warnings and whatever all that type of stuff, it was probably started by Jastreboff in disguise, contrast that to TT where the staff is pretty awesome so.
That's also true. Some groups the mods just ban anyone who goes against their cult.
