I wish all bad ENTs and audiologists would get continuous severe tinnitus and "clinically insignificant" hearing loss, let's see what they say then.

If my tinnitus decreased by 1% absolute every time someone with acoustic trauma said they "have no hearing loss", my brain would be an anechoic chamber.

I think you are one of the absolute stupidest human beings I have ever interacted with in my entire life. I think you are one of the worst things that has ever happened to the tinnitus community besides tinnitus itself. I hope you're happy with yourself.

@Sarah Perry It has been heated over the last couple of weeks on this forum. Some people have a way of conveying their asshole qualities in a polite manner. It's not really/only Ed. It's this whole site. Half of it is pro suicide and the other is anti everything that isn't on their agenda.

dude honestly I don't get your beef with ed. Please don't use MPP to create enemies.

He misconstrues everything I post in the most ridiculous manner as if hes paid by the FDA to be their PR Jesuit. I dont even think hes an American yet he defends the FDA process as if its immutable.
Trump publically called out the FDA for one person that had Pompe syndrome. Tinnitus is way mor prevalent and affects many many soldiers. If the ATA werent complete goofs we could really get the public's attention better and they tweet moronic crap that promotes lady gaga and downplays our suffering. We really could make a difference here but firewalls like ed just dump cold water all over people like me that actually try and advocate anything of the such.

Okay I see the confusion here. I didn't mean to insinuate that the first trial proved it worked to regrow human hair cells. I was listing facts that have been previously discovered about this drug from other experiments. And it has been shown to regrow human hair cells, that's a fact.

They have regrown human hair cells.

The hair cells have ribbon synapses.

This video has probably been posted around this site multiple times. Especially in this thread. Maybe if you watched it you wouldn't be putting me on trial for being informed and doing research. :clown:

Then I get basically accused of being a liar by users like tinkerbell for posting facts because I dont post a link for every sentence i write, because its already been posted previously, then I actually go and spend 15-30 minutes tracking down the source to appease my accuser and after I post it, never get a like or even a response it's like they are just there to attack me whenever they can and arent really interested in promoting the discussion in a meaningful manner. Its like the notion that there may actually be a cure for hearing loss and tinnitus drives them absolutely fucking nuts.

I've been browsing here for almost 2 years and this is the darkest I've seen it :(

Shouldn't all of our agendas be curing our tinnitus?
Last time I checked TRT and hearing aids dont regrow hair cells and ribbon synapses. Theres only one thing working it's way up that can do that. How did one person with pompe syndrome get Trump to bad mouth the FDA in a speech yet we cant get the same treatment for this absolutely horrible condition, that's the #1 disability among veterans, and we're all like support the troops supports the troops support the troops. It's like support our troops has just become an empty platitude. We really could make a difference if we stood up with a voice but theres basically ridiculous clowns running around this site nay saying facts and shushing up any notion that we could do this. It really makes me think theres some kind of conspiracy to keep us from pushing the FDA like trump did for pompe syndrome. The only difference is there was nothing to treat pompe syndrome and theres a multi billion dollar industry for hearing loss non treatments like cochlear implants and hearing aids. It makes perfect sense that a hearing loss cure would freak them the fuck out and send lobbyists to the FDA and out on social media to slow down the destruction of their market as much as possible.

It's a shame you see things so personally. I've got absolutely nothing against you at all, but am trying to show you what you're up against. I'm on the side of anything that helps tinnitus sufferers, but I'm also a realist.

All I've tried to do is get to the bottom of what it is what you want us all to do, as you've never given a call to action. Did you want to set up a petition or something?

It's key that you contact Frequency and speak to them. Doing something outside of their control might not go down too well with them, and may create bad relations. You have to see it from their point of view; they know what they are doing and have a team of experts around them. By doing some kind of public campaign without their consent you may actually achieve the opposite to what you're intending.

I have no problem with you personally, but debates will happen on stuff like this. If you think I'm bad what do you think the FDA will be like?

That's a pretty accurate assessment in a nutshell.

Just go read the last few pages in the freqtx thread. Hes actually professional and does make some good points. He also subtlety shoots me down which I guess is fine but extremely aggravating. I just have too much hope that fx322 is going to be the magic bullet that cures most of our tinnitus. There is a huge amount of evidence that it will. Theres not really anything else like this drug. This is so important that the government needs to step in and super pay for the trials and accelerate the development process. Soldiers have tinnitus like crazy and this isnt just some minor issue. Why cant we get Congress, and the wwp to get some kind of emergency development process together? It starts with us, the sufferers then things like the ATA and other medical organizations. And Ed just pisses me off because hes all about just letting the extremely slow process play out on it's own.
