Medieval depictions are not from first hand experience of seeing them. They are all by artists that only heard about them many generations removed from the alleged eyewitness accounts.
someone would have had to drawn a dinosaur, even if going back before Noah's ark.

I used to use ubuntu all the time on my odroid xu3 on my TV, it was super fast and awesome, but the CPU is ARM so there's not a very large amount of programs like the x86, x64 distros. I just have so many programs on my desktop like adobe cs5 and ableton live, and a couple of games and it's a SSD so I really don't have any more space for a dual boot. But on my asus laptop I still have a dual boot for lubuntu. I like lubuntu because it's incredibly super fast.

my work laptop is a locked down mac and I cannot even install anything on it.

I'm a linux believer like you, I just don't have a practical need at the moment for it.

When I start seeing ads in my Windows Explorer I will immediately switch to like linux mint or something.

You haven't lived until you've used an odroid, it's like a Raspberry Pi on monster energy ham.

How does conventional wisdom say it can't be cured? Please drop some science about this on me because I am beyond interested.

Just because there isn't a cure or treatment for something doesn't mean it will never or can't happen. That line of thinking is fucking retarded, excuse my french. Do you suggest we sit back and wait for a tinnitus treatment to fall in our lap? Also, are people suffering immensely and having quality of life issues due to color blindness. Tinnitus is a different story, which can't wait for something to just come along.

The only way to progress and get closer to a cure is to keep researching and trying. The answer isn't clear cut, but by asking questions and pursing a cure it is 100x better than waiting for it to come along by accident.

The point of bashing the "habituation" thought process is that people repeat it as a cure for ALL tinnitus sufferers. This is not the case. This leads people to also believing "oh tinnitus isn't a big deal since people can just habituate. Why should I donate money to help fund research if it resolves on its own?" Then this bullshit is repeated on national television by the FUCKING ATA giving a huge audience of people the notion that tinnitus isn't a big deal and goes away on its own. Thus destroying all of the hard work to bring awareness and fundraising to find a cure.
What's the easiest way to upvote a post 10000 times?

you're already the top rated user by far. lolol
i can't upvote myself period. that is impossible outside of alts (as far as I am concerned)

I meant upvoting others using a url exploit, i gave threefirefour almost 400 likes in a few seconds by gathering all the like urls and opening them in new tabs

you already are selling your personal info, browser history and what apps you run and how long you use the computer to microsoft.

Face it you can't keep Privacy with Windows at all.

Lubuntu is a bit too low end for me, but I love Xubuntu with the XFCE desktop, it's minimalist look and feel keeps me from getting distracted when performing task unlike Cinnamon, and yes it is faster.

The problem is XFCE has a very shitty file manager and so does LXQT/LXDE (Lubuntu's DE/filemanager)
I'll be honest Windows Explorer is better then any Linux File Manager but I just don't like the damn default GUI on Wndows 10 lacking any customization.

yeah. I watch youtube, mostly documentaries, use photoshop sometimes, and post on tinnitus talk. I also play project cars 2 once in a blue moon. I could care less if they know that or sell that info.

soon enough my son will be ready to start learning how to use a computer and I will get him an odroid xu4 and run linux on it for sure.
don't let children use technology until atleast 8-10 years old.
or they'll end up as a fucking loser like me, and then again I didn't get into computers until about 14.

just basic photo editing, bringing out colors etc. I don't know if I showed you my bible cartoon I made but I was chopping up all kinds of images and making backgrounds and puppets for animation and I'm almost an expert in photoshop and after effects.
