My friend has this idea that the universe is all a simulation. He sees everything including suffering as part of the universe going through infinite possibilities in order to experience itself. He sees it as an attempt to understand its own nature and suffering especially promotes a drive to understand. For example, we are learning about the cochlea because of our suffering and in the universe is achieving this understanding, too. I'm not sure if that idea is at all complementary to your own.

FWIW, he considers himself a Christian but loosely.

Gunna hop off MPP for a while.

I can't watch @Contrast continue his descent into literal insanity, while others cheer him on. It is too depressing.... He thinks he is being edgy and funny and "big brain", when in reality he is losing his grasp on reality. If and when he does kill himself, those encouraging him on here will have played a roll in it and should be disgusted with themselves.

If @Contrast is posting these ramblings and threatening to commit suicide as a joke to get people off MPP or to "drive out the normies", I don't really know what to say. That would be one of the most disgusting sub human things a person can do after people are genuinely trying to help him.

Suicide is not a joke, especially in this community and especially after a member of our own community took his life due to his suffering.

I will continue to be your Pope until the sun burns out, but this thread has turned me sour.

List of conspiracies/controversial views contrast actually believes

1. Neuropyschologist control medical acdemia preventing biomedical researchers from getting grants which is due to the fact that people with agonizing diseases are burden to social welfare systems and it's too expensive to research biomedical sciences.

2.Quantum consciousness/Universal Conciousness at the very fabric of space/time geometry. Reincarnation is a mechanism of reality.

3. The software-pocolapse where all Software becomes subscription based is happening now. Software companies take advantage of stupid normies.

4. Bigfoot could exist.

Daily reminder that the poster above me has more common sense then all these neuropyschological models of pain and suffering. It shows you can manage pain and suffering by acting like a mentally retarded person as opposed to facing responsibilities and being a mature adult about it.

@JulianBrumbelow
shows "management" is possible without any self discipline other then the adult preschooler routine of a fairie dragonette.

You have seriously lost the block dude. I know you think your thinking rationally, but you are not.

Please go see a doctor to help straighten you out. I know you think your thinking straight and making sense, but your rambling like someone who is very unstable and isn't thinking clearly.

If anyone reading this truly cared about Contrast, they would stop enabling him with emotes and tell him to get help.
Er, this is kind of just a classical argument of idealism against realism. I'm a realist, it appears @Contrast is not.

Asking for help to prevent suicide is a normie magnet to join this thread. Why would I lie about being suicidal? It's just this stupid mammalian survival instinct I'm trying to resolve.
Dude I get you—I get the transcendent thinking as an escape to the insanity that besets us all, it's great that you can ponder things that require such inordinate cognitive investment, but no matter how well-informed or firm-in-faith you are, the afterlife is still painfully alien and uncertain.

I want to know how people get caught for violating certain software licenses?

Imagine this image viewer program that is properitary, it's free for home use but commercial use requires a license.

How are they going to figure out if one is using it for commercial use? A business could use it as an individual download on each machine and unless a snitch was there whistle blowing they'd be fine. These licenses get violated all the time.

Maybe the devs could check their servers band with and would call it suspicious if one person downloaded the same product 200 times. But one could use the same .exe installer for an infinite amount of machines offline. What's why Windows is going SASS to prevent jackasses like me.

Yes but I can't promise I won't be catty about it when you're not looking.
non of this quantum shit is true, it only works at the sub atomic level. Couciousness isn't collapsing the wave function, the measurement tools are just interrupting it.

Ya'll think Im crazy but I ain't saying dumb shit like "reactive tinnitus doesn't exist" or "hyperacusis can be 100% cured". I'm just proposing that consciousness collapses the wave function.

According to the current atheist perspective this shitpost was pre-destined to occur 13.8 billion years ago after random quantum fluxations banged the big bang. A big bang only happens 1 in every 10⁵⁴⁰ random quantum fluctuations . This shitpost was not created by my own free will and comical agency but rather just raw predictable physics. There is no sentient self aware being making this post, it's just a bio chemical puppet tricked into thinking it has free will.

If scientist built a computer that ran for 13.8 billion years that simulated our big bang with every particle, this exact shitpost would reoccur 13.8 billion years later as the future is pre-determined.

Yeah I don't believe in predetermination but @JohnAdams had an interesting take that the supreme being understood the actions you'd take before you took them. Either way, one being's subjective experience of omnipotence is inconsequential to another's perception of free will.
John is a dualist and doesn't make any sense. He has no science to defend his views.

Our future is nothing but a probability wave that doesn't exist yet. You can't time travel forward or backwards because time is just a measurement tool not something that actually exist. Time and free will cannot co-exist because atheist string theorist believe the 4th dimension is time and that it is linear and unchangable.

If time really does exist it's totally different from the way classical physics imagines it or I'm wrong and there is no free will.

@Contrast What do you mean by consciousness collapsing the wave function?
Consciousness is the collapse of the wave function.

At the sub-atomic level (level of fundamental particles) that travel around an atom. They have NO definite position or property until observed. Countless variations of double slit experiments involving light particles (Photons) behave as a wave in multiple positions at once until the observer makes a measurement where it becomes a definite light particle. Without the observer it's a wave of probability.

The observer collapses the wave function.

Neil Degrasse Tyson countered by saying the "measurement" of waves itself interferes with the atom and collapses the wave function. IE our measurement tools aren't capable of measuring something this small without disrupting it.

This was challenged by buckeyball particles which are 60 times larger then regular atoms and the same strangeness happened.

Physical matter is a complete wave of probability until observed by a consciousness. It seems to always display the same content ie the moon is a wave of probability but it always turns out the same when observered. This suggest the Universe is some kind of virtual reality and our consciousness renders the graphics. It could mean a primordial consciousnesses created the physical Universe.

I mean I believe in chaos. I believe death—the imperceptible absence of consciousness, would be a blip until consciousness reattaches itself with the creation of new sentient life. I remember hearing about microtubules as a sort of memory storage device that exists outside of consciousness? Surely this would be recycled with universal collapse and all its information with it.

2019 did a doozy on my whole psyche. Tinnitus and Epstein got me thinkin a Mandela Effect tangential universe is not so crazy after all. I'm sure you disagree but I swear that man died in prison.
