Aren't most people open-minded to the fact that we could have very limited free will? I guess in the sphere of people who believe in neuroscience, you are sort of "maximum" free will without violating any obvious science. No?I define free will as having some degree of volition over our bodies. We are strongly effected by strong neural networks that remember habits and memories, the motor actions saved in the cerebrum and fight or flight reponses in the amygdala.
I didn't say unlimited freedom.
Volition is defined as a system of matter that is experiencing an internally felt state (aka consciousness) in this internal state the system is forced to make a choice. I am not arguing the systems choices are not influenced by auto pilot behavior in the brain. I am arguing we can introspect/modify that and act freely, even if it is limited.
I'm sort of agnostic on your point of view versus materialism.
