I'm legitimately losing my mind and life here and... I just want to say I love you guys. JohnAdams, Contrast, threefirefour, dpdx, jazzer and all the rest of you, you are amazing, I love you. I know I know this is just internet friendship but still, thank you for everything. You're the only ones who get this absolute f*cking hell within hell. This is a huge advantage of global communication with the web. Allows people with something in common from around the world to connect with each other.

Love you too buddy. xx

I am also indebted to TT for providing a site where sufferers of this 'Effing Bitch' can meet up, chat, compare notes, and sometimes even amuse each other, while also sharing their experiences and stories.
There are times when my misus says to me, "what good does it do you to keep going on there - you can't cure them, and they can't cure you."
She is a wonderful person, and normally very empathic- but this is yet another area where,
'If you haven't lived it, you quite simply can not know !"
Best wishes to every one of us,

The dude that went to stemcell21 in Thailand said it helped his tinnitus. Also got an IV of curcumin, which I've been suspecting can restore hearing.

I have reason to suspect that the stem cells and the lazer didnt do anything and it was the IV of curcumin.

It amazes me that we live in such a state of 'hell on earth' - noise - pressure - anxiety - pain - and yet the person speaking to us, sitting beside us, walking with us, observing us......has absolutely no idea of what we are suffering.
It seems to me that
'the real word has never got out.'
Nobody but you and I knows!

Ha! What if they know curcumin restores hearing and just trick people into taking stem cells. I'm trying to even figure out how the stem cells work. I have not seen one single mechanism that would explain how they cure T or restore hearing. Funny I've been saying for weeks that curcumin is a notch1 inhibitor like the lab drugs that restored hearing in rodents and they just happen to give you an IV of it with stem cells. curcumin makes more sense than stem cells and especially LLLT.

What type of noise do you use to help you sleep?

Nature sounds from Spotify, for instance

there is a bit of everything in there, you have to find your own, Spotify has everything. It may take a while to habituate to some of that. A friend went to work in the jungle, and it was mayhem at night, she habituated to that. You can also get used to sleep in a boat and hear constant noise (well, bad example, sleeping on a boat sucks).

During the day I play things like (search for 90 Minutes of Woodland Ambiance in youtube if the link doesn't work)

I wonder if it is also influenced by how many GABA receptors a person has in their neurons. surely we express these things differently. if that were true then it may not matter if you increased GABA levels.
Supposedly Theanine and Fasoracetam upregulate GABA-B, i think it's a GABA-B rebound but im no pharmacologist :)

Someone needs to report the word "habituation" to Oxford dictionaries as it's spelled incorrectly.

It needs a "ch" in middle.

I am beyond angry. "Learn to live with it" as a primary "treatment" paradigm.

ARE THESE PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MIND??

Also this was like legit my first thought when I first learned about this stuff soon after onset.
